Worcestershire Festival of Business is to be held at Regent Centre, Chateau Impney, Droitwich Spa on Friday 13th September.

Now in its sixth year, this annual celebration of Worcestershire enterprise and entrepreneurship returns to the Regent Centre, Chateau Impney, after exhibitors and visitors hailed the 2018 event at the venue a huge hit.

The Worcestershire Festival of Business is organised by Worcestershire Enterprise Ltd, the ‘social enterprise’ behind the #WorcestershireHour phenomenon on Twitter. Stuart Allen, the MD of Worcestershire Enterprise Ltd explains; “#WorcestershireHour is a virtual networking event that uses the global Twitter platform to hugely benefit our local businesses, charities and communities. The Festival of Business allows all those that take part in that virtual community, and many others, to come together, showcase what they do and network.”

The first Worcestershire Festival of Business took place in 2013 at Stanbrook Abbey, Callow End and was featured on BBC Midlands Today News. Over the next few years the event grew larger and more space was needed. In 2018 there were 93 exhibitors and the range of organisations on display reflected the hugely diverse mix across the County of Worcestershire.

The exhibition is primarily business to business focused but up-cyclers, furniture and lighting retailers and even Christmas decorators took part last year and all are returning for 2019.

For the ‘early birds’ there is a breakfast networking event (7.30-9am) and as last years’ event was oversubscribed, it has been moved to larger room this year, with capacity for 150. With the location ideally placed for M5 access the event attracts business visitors from both North and South of the region. Last year visitors travelled from as far afield as Leeds and London.

The event, which is open to the public from 9am to 2.30pm is supported by a number of sponsors and partners including Worcestershire LEP, Worcestershire County Council, NFB Networking Group, Chateau Impney Hotel and Business & Innovation magazine.

The 2019 Worcestershire Festival of Business charity is Leukaemia Care UK based in Worcester, who will receive a cheque for a minimum of £500 on the day.
