Six toddlers took the time out of theirs busy nursery day to assist with publicising the launch of Worcester Street Sixes.  When they were not running around Worcester’s iconic New Road cricket pitch, and at a time of their own choosing, they struck a pose to launch Worcester’s Street Sixes which will take place on Worcester High Street 1st July.

Worcester Street Sixes tournament is an annual charity cricket event in aid of the Worcestershire Cobham Cricket Trust, sponsored by Worcestershire Ambassadors and involving around 18 teams in a cricket match with a difference – playing with soft balls on Worcester High Street. This years’ event will take place on 1st July

The aim of the event is to raise funds and awareness to take cricket to places it’s not normally played, supporting young children from underprivileged backgrounds in Worcestershire.

We are targeting businesses who wish to enter a team of 6-10 people to play fun, softball cricket – no previous bat and ball experience required! Just a desire to have fun, take part and make a difference through the power of cricket! We will give you everything you need: Training – so you know the rules; Personalised team kit – so you look the part; Equipment – so you aren’t left stumped! More importantly we will give you access to the after party at Blackfinch New Road whilst enjoying a drink and some food in front of the iconic view of Worcester Cathedral.
