Popular lifestyle and leisurewear clothing brand, Weird Fish, headquartered in Cheltenham, is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
The Weird Fish brand was inspired after a walk along a coast path in Cornwall and the ambition to produce well-priced, well made and distinctive clothes.
The original brand concept was based on artist T-shirts, after discovering a unique airbrushing technique. There was a rising demand for the original designs featuring the ‘Weird Fish’ and from this, the brand was born. Weird Fish’s artist T-shirts remain popular, and the series of limited edition charity T-shirts, designed exclusively for the RSPB and Battersea, are particularly popular with the brand’s loyal customers.
Weird Fish is renowned for its distinctive Macaroni™ sweatshirt range, which uses a triple-twist yarn, originally discovered in Turkey. The Macaroni has been with Weird Fish since the brand’s beginning and is still its most popular range.
The brand has 15 own stores, 20 concessions and over 400 wholesale stockists across the country, as well as selling online.
John Stockton, Managing Director at Weird Fish, said: “This very special anniversary is all about celebrating our heritage and the designs that made us who we are. We are really proud to champion the Macaroni range and we have gone back to basic with our classic heritage designs and brought back our much-loved metal fish bones zip pull.
“We’re so proud to have reached our 25th year and we’d like to thank all of our loyal customers and hardworking staff for helping us get to where we are today.”
