Wake the Tiger – the world’s first ‘amazement park’ – opens on a Bristol trading estate

Wake the Tiger

Wake the Tiger, a psychedelic wonderland billed as the world’s first ‘amazement park’, has opened at a trading estate in Bristol.

Described as an “experiential art gallery, interactive theme park and detailed film set, all with a surreal and beautiful twist,” the concept is the brainchild of the team behind the immersive festival Boomtown Fair near Winchester.

Guests at the attraction will pass through the grey industrial estate in St Philips into the parallel world of Meridia.

Created by more than 100 installation artists, robotic experts, costume-makers, architects, videographers and prop-makers, the journey through 27 distinct art installations takes around an hour.

The experience opened on Saturday (July 30).
