Oxford Christmas Market

With the crisp fresh mornings and the dark cosy nights rolling in, an undercurrent of excitement is all around. Suddenly there are only 10,9,8,7…weekends of shopping left until Christmas! To entertain visiting family members, make those final purchases, or for an opportunity to meet friends over a warming glass of mulled wine; we’ve found some of the top Christmas markets across the region in which to drink, shop and be merry.

Oxford

5th – 21st Dec 2019

Many would agree there is nowhere more quintessentially British than the historical cobbled streets of Oxford during the festive season. With the melodies of Christmas carols carried down the streets on a crisp breeze of mulled wine, cinnamon and hog roasts, Oxford Christmas Market will provide a truly enchanting experience. Oxford Christmas Market returns to the heart of the city on the beautiful Broad Street throughout December.

Worcester

28th November – 1st December

Travel back in time to when Christmas became a truly elaborate affair for Britons by visiting Worcester’s Victorian Christmas Fayre this year. Feast on Victorian tasty treats and sugary bonbons, allow yourself to be entertained by traditionally dressed entertainers; and shop at over 200 stalls filled with crafts, perfect gifts, and local produce. Worcester Christmas market is keeping it local with many producers from within a 30 mile radius. Victorian Christmas Market. A staggering half a million people visited Gloucester Quays during the 11-day event in 2018 and this year aims to be just as popular. This year there will be a whole host of stalls selling, food, drink and bespoke gifts not available on the high street alongside a line-up of entertainment brimming with cheeky Victorian Characters. This is the family event of the year with the Open-Air Ice Rink also returning, we really hope you can join us.

Moreton in Marsh Christmas Market and Lights Switch On takes place on the last Saturday in November. It is a great day out for all the family with a vast range of market stalls selling many different products. Stratford-Upon-Avon

6th – 8th December

There’s a reason this festive Christmas market is award winning, and that reason is the immersion of visitors in a world of Victorian fantasy encouraged with an array of performances, Victorian costumes, and the traditional Victorian funfair within close proximity. The Christmas market will be on Waterside, Bridge Street, Henley Street, High Street and Meer Street, with all the street food and drink stalls positioned on Wood Street.
