Gloucester Brewery’s gin sales hit 4,000 bottles as it launches gift range for Xmas

A Gloucester brewery which launched its first spirit brand at the height of the pandemic is reaping the rewards of its determination after selling more than 4,000 bottles.

Gloucester Brewery has been working hard to keep brewing and distilling safely despite the current lockdowns to prepare for its Christmas online orders.

Fox’s Kiln Distillery Gins launched just six months ago and despite the difficult time for the hospitality industry, it has already sold 4,000 bottles. It is also now preparing to sell the spirits on Amazon.

It has also introduced three hampers featuring a gin tasting set, a 10-bottle beer pack and an Ultimate Beer, Gin and Cheese Hamper showcasing delicious produce from across the region.

Managing Director Jared Brown said the new range was just another way the brewery was trying to move with the times but also meet the demand from customers for online orders and gifts at the moment.

“Despite this year being particularly challenging due to the lockdowns and losing most of our pub trade, which represented 70% of our production, we’ve managed to keep brewing and distilling by offering our home delivery service and selling bottles, cans and party cans direct to our thirsty regulars. We have just recently brought in our own canning operation as well to help keep up with demand,” he said.

Gloucester Brewery Beer Hamper“It’s been heart-warming to receive so much support as without it we would have been forced to stop brewing and distilling and we hope people will continue to support us this festive season.”

As part of its new festive range, a limited-edition Christmas Gin has been produced that will be ready in the coming weeks. It is packed full of fruit and spices – perfect for that tipple over the holiday season.

“We hope our new festive range of Christmas gifts will help to cheer everyone up this year,” he said.

“It has been a real pleasure working with delicious local ingredients such as the cranberries in our Christmas Gin and sourcing great produce from across the region such as Godsell’s Cheese near Stroud for our new tasting hampers range.”

Gifts start from £15. The brewery offers free delivery to GL1-4, GL50-GL53 and GL20. It also offers free delivery nationwide.
