The UK’s largest electric motor distributor has relocated its national headquarters to Worcestershire’s leading commercial estate, investing £1 million into refurbishing its new base.
The business has moved into units 291 and 296 at the Estate, which have a combined floor-plate of 85,000 sq ft, and provide both manufacturing and office accommodation, as well as extensive parking and yard areas.
The expanding business, which launched two further UK operations in Sheffield and Scotland in 2013 and 2014 respectively, has also invested £1 million into fitting out the two units to precisely meet its needs.
Rupert Jeffries of Collingwood Rigby, asset managers for the Estate, said: “TEC Electric Motors is a big local success story, having reported year-on-year growth since its inception in 2006, and going on to become the UK’s leading distributor of electric motors, gearboxes and inverters.
“Having expanded its former operation in Droitwich a number of times to facilitate its continued growth, the business this year opted to relocate its distribution HQ to Hartlebury, citing the high quality accommodation, extensive space and first-class UK transport links as key attractions to the Estate.
“Demand for prime commercial space in Worcestershire remains high, and we are proud to be home to a diverse range of occupiers, demonstrating our capability to cater to a variety of needs and demands, and TEC Electric Motors’ decision to join the ranks of businesses sited here is further evidence of that,” added Rupert.
