Team Worcestershire to showcase ‘game changer’ sites at the world’s biggest investment event

For the first time ever, Worcestershire is taking a leading group of businesses to the largest property event in the world. MIPIM will be taking place from 12-15 March in France and will be an opportunity to promote the county’s key development sites including Redditch Gateway, Worcester 6 and Malvern Hills Science Park.

The ‘Team Worcestershire’ delegation will be joining the Midlands Pavilion to promote significant investment opportunities at more than 40 events during the world’s leading real estate show. The Midlands Pavilion will be led by Sir John Peace, Chair of the Midlands Engine, along with a range of senior keynote speakers who will be addressing the global investment community at MIPIM.

Panel discussions at the Midlands UK Pavilion will debate topics ranging from accelerated housing delivery to maintaining momentum in the office market and the importance of delivering inclusive growth. There will also be presentations highlighting major investment opportunities across all key real estate sectors – including residential, office & mixed use, life sciences, digital & creative, and manufacturing & logistics.

Worcestershire will be centre stage at MIPIM with delegates attending from across the world. More than 26,000 delegates from 100 different countries take part, representing major investors, financial institutions, developers, the property industry and the media.

Last year the Midlands UK Pavilion welcomed more than 4,700 delegates at MIPIM 2018, who attended a series of presentations, debates and receptions.

Sir John Peace said: “MIPIM provides a platform from which we can showcase the many strengths of the Midlands to a wide audience. The Midlands is already a highly competitive investment destination. By attracting more investors, developers and businesses, we are able to improve our infrastructure, innovation and productivity – creating a stronger economy for all.”

Stuart Emmerson, Inward Investment Manager for Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “Worcestershire is now in a position to present world class investment opportunities at MIPIM. These ‘game changer’ sites in Redditch, Worcester and at Malvern Hills Science Park are already attracting world leading brands. Worcestershire is the UKs best kept secret – amazing accessibility, fantastic sites awaiting investment and at the forefront of tech as the UK’s only Industry 4.0 5G test bed.
