Accountants Haines Watts Swindon have acquired the practice of Philip Nickson & Co.

Philip Nickson & Co has now been renamed as Haines Watts Cirencester Limited.  The business will still operate from its existing premises in Kempsford, Gloucestershire alongside the office in Swindon.

Phil Nickson will remain with the business as a consultant and continue to work with existing clients who are predominantly based in the south of Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire. The new Gloucestershire-based team members will also work closely with the existing Swindon team.

Mike Lloyd, managing partner at Haines Watts Swindon said: “We are very pleased to be joined by Phil and his team. The acquisition was originally planned to take place earlier in the year but was delayed due to the Covid-19 situation.

“The client base complements our base in Swindon and we feel very confident Phil’s clients will benefit from the combination of familiarity and enhanced service lines that they will have access to now and in the future.

“This acquisition increases Haines Watts size in North Wiltshire and the south of Gloucestershire by about 25 per cent. It will also form the basis for expansion within Cirencester but also within the Cheltenham and the Gloucestershire areas.”

Phil said: “My team and I are delighted to become part of the Haines Watts Group and we are excited about the range of benefits it will bring to our clients who will find even more value in the broader range of services and expertise now available to them.”

Nationally, Haines Watts is a top 15 firm of Chartered Accountants.
