Successful Cheltenham convenience store put up for sale

Hewlett Road Londis

The freehold and leasehold of a high turnover Londis convenience store on Hewlett Road, Cheltenham is up for sale.

Specialist property business advisor, Christie & Co, which is selling the property, said that Hewlett Road Londis has been owned and operated by its client for more than 39 years and they now want to retire. T

The business, which is located on a busy road just off the town centre, has a retail area and store rooms of around 2,430 sq ft on the ground floor.

Jack Kotecha, who runs the store, said: “We have run the store since the early 1980s with an outstanding reputation, customer loyalty and presence in the local community. The shop has been placed for sale as we are looking to retire.”

Jamie Williams, Business Agent at Christie & Co, added: “Hewlett Road Londis is a rarely available, high turnover convenience store with room for growth. There store has an excellent trading history and is available on a freehold or leasehold basis. In reintegrating the Post Office and utilising the currently vacant 4 bed owner’s accommodation, the already high GP margin of 32% could easily be increased.”
