The programme will see a number of current systems migrated in to a single, cloud based digital platform, removing time-consuming processes for Council employees and giving residents and businesses a new customer experience.
Scott Logan, Chief Executive, Basildon Council said: “We have three clear principles for transforming the way we provide services across the borough. We aim to simplify, standardise and automate, giving greater value to the public.
“Part of this programme will be focused on our recently approved waste strategy and will help move away from paper-based processes, to a digital, environmentally friendly service.”
