Businesses who have taken advantage of government-subsidised places on the STAR® Manager training programme have reported incredible results amid the current pandemic.
In its continuing effort to find new ways to boost the UK economy, the Government is backing a trial of the programme through Innovate UK.
The first cohort of managers drawn from 48 SME’s undertaking the award-winning STAR® Manager online training course has already generated a 33 x ROI from the improvements that managers have made using a new ‘Operational Coaching’ approach to management.
STAR® Manager is a unique, transformational, 100% virtual training programme that’s already proven to deliver significant increases in management effectiveness in larger corporates and now also comes with Ofqual-registered qualifications if desired.
With the growing pressures on small to medium sized enterprises, many owners now urgently need a brand-new mix of skills to energise and lead their teams to drive business growth amid their new challenges.
Matt Western, MP for Warwick and Leamington, takes time out from his busy schedule in Parliament to take a deep-dive into the ground-breaking and award-winning STAR® Manager programme, which has been generating benefits for West Midlands businesses.
STAR® Manager is designed to embed the skills and behaviours that will add value to the business without taking managers out of the business for training. Instead, managers follow a blend of 18 different online activities that instil new habits that they can use immediately in their work. The programme can be completed remotely and with a commitment of less than one hour a week leads to improved performance, productivity, creativity and employee engagement as well as reduced costs, sales growth and increased profits.
Dominic Ashley-Timms, Managing Director of Notion, said: “It took two years to develop and test STAR® Manager into a leading-edge programme that’s fun to follow and that also generates positive and long-lasting results, and it’s now being widely adopted by larger corporates both here and abroad. We’re pleased that SMEs too are showing the same enthusiasm for the programme and that this first cohort is delivering such a strong return on investment, just at the time when the economy needs it most.”
The subsidised SME trial, scrutinised by The London School of Economics, will be launching its final cohort on 1st July 2020.
Dominic added: “The question that we invite companies to consider is this – What would be the commercial impact if all of your Managers were to employ an Operational Coaching style of management and engage all of the talents of your workforce?”
If you think your company could benefit from participating in this innovative programme, there’s still time to get your Managers on board.
