SGS College puts conservation on the agenda

SGS’s Stroud Campus is raising awareness of the importance of animal care and conservation and highlighting the role the college is playing within the local and regional community and how it is promoting a curriculum based around conservation and the environment.

The College has also taken on a new collection of animals, from snakes and tortoises to stick insects and frogs, and is looking forward to showing them off to the public. Mary Howie, Head of the Animal Science and Conservation department at the College said:

“It’s a great chance for people to get to know these wonderful animals, and we’re excited by playing a key part in regional conservation efforts going forward.”
