Law firm Royds Withy King has strengthened its Oxford office with the appointment of two new Partners.
Vicky Hernandez has joined the Real Estate team while Carl Selby has joined the Corporate team, both from Hedges Law in Oxford.
Commenting on their appointments, Royds Withy King Oxford Regional Lead Simon Bassett said: “Both Partners are ambitious and talented. We’re delighted to welcome them to the firm and I’m sure they will be an asset to all our clients.
“We’ve established a national reach and reputation and enjoy working with national brands. Our latest appointments demonstrate that our firm is growing well and that we are investing in further building our strength. They will also enable us to deepen our capabilities in the key practice areas of Real Estate and Corporate law.”
Vicky joined Hedges from BrookStreet Des Roches in 2014 and Carl from Reynolds Parry Jones in 2016. They created and grew the business services team to complement the pre-existing Hedges offering in personal law. They have brought a team of three with them.
Vicky has particular experience of working in retail real estate, having worked with clients such as McDonald’s, AllSaints and the Arcadia group. More recently she has broadened her client base and expertise into real estate development and agricultural work for large landowners. Carl specialises in corporate transactional work and has a particular interest in the tech sector.
The two Oxford Partner appointments are part of wider growth for Royds Withy King with strategic hires also taking place in its other offices. The firm has also welcomed a new Head of Real Estate, Lee Taylor, at its Bath office from Lyons Davidson at the start of April and a new Head of Private Client, Rod Smith, from Stone King LLP at the London office this month.
