Redditch-based retail shop fitting company The Heartbeat Manufacturing Company has been acquired by industrial investment group HLD Group.

Heartbeat designs, produces and installs retail environments for leading global brands and UK independents

The company, which was established more than 70 years ago, has more than 100,000 sq f in-house manufacturing space and has done work for retailers such as Aldi, M&S, John Lewis, Asda, Tesco and Travelodge.

HLD Director, David Myles, said: “This long established and innovative producer will complement our existing portfolio of manufacturing businesses, both in the UK and internationally.”

Ross Kendall has been promoted to Managing Director at Heartbeat. He said: “HLD were able to demonstrate that they are investors who can bring a wide variety of opportunities to Heartbeat alongside a wealth of expertise and we are looking forward to being part of the HLD family.
