ProCook Group plc, the Gloucester-based direct-to-consumer specialist kitchenware brand, has seen nearly 30 per cent revenue growth in the last year, reflecting a more than 77.5 per cent two-year increase on 2020.
The company, which listed on the London Stock Exchange in November last year, said revenue for the quarter ended April 3 was £14 million, taking the full-year total to £69.2 million.
It attracted 723,000 new customers who have shopped with ProCook for the first time, and have successfully increased the rate of repeat purchase within 12 months from 18.6 per cent to 25.5 per cent year on year, and grown market share.
The Gloucester-based retailer has seen a shift back to physical retail thanks to the reopening of its stores after closure for the whole of the fourth quarter last year. This reduced its e-commerce performance – where it had seen stellar growth due to online during the lockdown period.
However, the company has warned that trading conditions have become more challenging over the last quarter with a number of well-documented pressures impacting consumer shopping habits and operational costs.
But, despite a tougher consumer and macro environment, it says it continues to attract new customers to the brand, are outperforming the market, and remain confident in our value-for-money, specialist offer.
