Oxford-based recruitment agency Allen Associates and Thame-based HR Consultancy SYLO |Beyond HR have teamed up to offer a range of specialist outplacement support to employers having to make redundancies.
These services are provided mainly via the employer to people whose roles have been, or are being made, redundant – although they can also be accessed by individuals directly. The support is delivered by HR specialists and comprises a raft of measures to enable individuals to find an alternative role or career path as quickly as possible.
Kate Allen, Managing Director at Allen Associates, said: “This is an incredibly challenging time for many of our clients who are facing some very tough decisions as part of their restructuring. We know that making roles redundant is a last resort for the businesses that we work with and that they will want to do the right thing by their people, whenever they can.
“One way that employers can show their support for staff is by offering them outplacement services as part of their severance package. For some this may be about securing a new role at a similar level while for others it may provide an opportunity for a change of career, to start their own business or even retire.
