Oxford Space Systems receives physics award for innovation

Oxford Space Systems, has been recognised by the Institute of Physics (IoP) for the development of its AstroTube Space Boom.

The IoP’s Commended Innovations are awarded to businesses for outstanding innovative applications of physics, which either push technological boundaries or provide bespoke solutions to market challenges. AstroTube Boom addresses the challenges of mass, cost and stowage efficiency of satellite boom systems, using advanced materials and a new, proprietory physics-based software tool.
