Oxford Brookes University will host Venturefest Oxford next year as it marks its 20th anniversary.
Venturefest Oxford, a major networking event for businesses, will take place on Wednesday 12 September 2018 at Oxford Brookes University.
The event will return to its original mission of showcasing the cutting-edge work being done across Oxfordshire. It will also focus on Space technologies, Quantum computing, digital health and autonomous vehicles and robotics.
Venturefest will offer an overview of the technologies involved and insight into their applications as well as look exploring the future opportunities they will create.
Local businesses, big and small, will sit alongside representatives from Oxford Brookes and the University of Oxford, local organisations, government authorities and a cross section of local support services and investors.
The Pitching for Success session will focus on showcasing businesses in these sectors and will expand to not only those wishing to pitch for funding, but also mentoring, skills and personnel.
Lynn Shepherd, Chair of Venturefest said: “Oxford Brookes University gives us the chance to radically improve our programme, making it more dynamic and streamlined. The new Clerici Hall in particular is a triumph and we are excited to be one of the first to book it for our event.”
Professor Alistair Fitt, Vice-Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University and Board Member for Venturefest Oxford said: “We are delighted to host Venturefest Oxford 2018 at Oxford Brookes University.
“The University is proud of its strong partnerships with business and industry and we recognise the value of these events in providing opportunities, support and connections.”
