Two new campaigns were also launched by the LEP. The ‘Creating our Future Workforce’ campaign launched to support business to tackle the skills gap and shape the skills development of the county’s young generations. A new brand for Worcestershire was also revealed.

Over 30 different businesses and organisations exhibited at the event and conference sponsors included: Bishop Fleming, ebc Group, GJS Dillon, Heart of Worcestershire College, Hewett Recruitment, Thursfields Solicitors and Business & Innovation Magazine.

Mark Stansfeld, Chair of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said:“It was great to see so many businesses in attendance for our 2018 Annual Conference. I truly believe this year has seen the county make the most progress towards being recognised as a connected, creative and dynamic economy, and it was exciting to share the progress of our work. As I mentioned at the event, it is our collaborative working with partners that really helps to benefit local businesses, and we look forward to continuing this successful partnership.”

Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, added: “We are pleased to see that many new businesses have gotten involved with this year’s LEP Annual Conference and our thanks go to the event sponsors, who helped to make the Conference possible. I look forward to building on the momentum within our business community and building on the new campaigns we’ve launched, as we move in to 2019.”
