Over 300 delegates register early for the Worcs Local Enterprise annual conference

WLEP Annual Conference

Over 300 delegates have already registered their attendance for the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership’s Eighth Annual Conference, with over a month remaining.

The Conference, which has grown its reputation as one of Worcestershire’s biggest business events, will be taking place on Friday 30 November at the Chateau Impney, Droitwich.

The Conference is set to directly discuss some of the issues that businesses have experienced and how Worcestershire LEP is helping to address these challenges. The event will also focus on how innovative developments led by the LEP are helping to boost connectivity, tackle the skills shortage and boost productivity in key sectors.

This year’s Conference will be hosted by Author, BBC Reporter and Radio Expert, Kate Russell, who has been voted in the ‘Top 50 most influential women in UK IT’ for the past 2 years by Computer Weekly Magazine. Kate will be joined by Digital Transformation Strategist, Tiffany St James, who has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for this year’s Worcestershire LEP Annual Conference.

Throughout the event, attendees will also be able to learn what support is available to entrepreneurs and scale up businesses, learn what new technologies are available to solve companies’ current challenges and also learn of the LEP’s 2040 vision for Worcestershire.

Business leaders will also have the opportunity to attend the business breakfast, sponsored by Bishop Fleming, which will be taking a look at the county’s recent investment successes, commercial space opportunities and  available support, from 7:30-8:30am on the morning of the Conference.

Tiffany said: “I am delighted to accept the invitation to speak at Worcestershire LEP Annual Conference 2018. It’s fantastic to hear about the good work they are undertaking in creating a connected, creative and dynamic economy and it is a huge opportunity to connect with 450 businesses and organisations who are making a difference in their community. I am looking forward to sharing how their business challenges can be addressed through the smart use of digital and social media.”

Kate Russell added: “As a business owner it’s easy to feel like you’re on your own in a world that gets ever more complex and challenging. This event is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to meet, network, get support and maybe even go on to collaborate to make the enterprise space in Worcestershire stronger than ever. I have known Tiffany St James for some years and am delighted she’s joining the line-up. She is a brilliant speaker and has a wealth of experience in this space.”

Sponsors of the event currently include: Bishop Fleming, Business & Innovation Magazine, EBC Group, GJS Dillon, Heart of Worcestershire College, Hewett Recruitment and Thursfields Solicitors.
