Cheltenham-based Ontic acquires product lines from Ultra Electronics


Ontic, the Cheltenham-based original equipment manufacturer and provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft in the commercial, military, rotorcraft and adjacent markets, has signed an asset purchase agreement for various product lines from Ultra Precision Control Systems.

Ultra Precision Control Systems is part of Ultra Electronics Ltd, also headquartered in Cheltenham which comprises a group of specialist businesses, located across the world, that design, manufacture, supply and support electronic and electromechanical systems, sub-systems and products for defence, security, cyber, transport, energy and aerospace applications.

The acquisition covers five distinct product categories comprising: legacy electronics, aircraft lighting, commodity harnessing, engine terminal bocks and rail barrier systems. The products will transition from two Ultra PCS sites into Ontic’s existing UK footprint.
