A revamped heated winter terrace has been unveiled at an hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon – ready for Christmas and the New Year – if Boris allows…
The 45-room Arden Hotel, part of the Eden Collection, has created a festive outdoor space this month, festooned with fairy lights, fake fur rugs, cosy blankets and a Christmas tree.
The terrace showcases views from the heart of the town, located directly opposite the Royal Shakespeare Theatres on the waterfront in historic Stratford-upon-Avon. It is usually open during the warmer spring and summer months.
General Manager Josefine Blomqvist said: “Our winter terrace utilises and brings to life our lovely outdoor space during the winter.
“It is a fantastic place to sit and enjoy a hot drink, a mulled wine or a ‘Eden Ardbeg’ cocktail with some light bites enjoying great views overlooking Bancroft Gardens, the RSC theatres and the River Avon while wrapped under a warm blanket.
“And with the additional government safety measure in light of the new Covid variant some people may prefer to socialise outdoors. We have tried to make sure they will be snug and cosy as possible now the temperatures have dropped.”
