National insolvency and business recovery firm, Begbies Traynor Group, has opened a new office in Gloucester.

Headed up by manager, Mike Dyer and with the support of partner, Simon Haskew, the new facility will provide on the ground support to businesses across Gloucestershire with a host of restructuring, refinancing and insolvency services.

The new offering will support businesses across Gloucestershire, from Cheltenham in the north of the region down towards Swindon further south.

Mike, said: “We have been working with the region’s business community for many years and have solid existing relationships with many local firms, so it made complete sense to establish a dedicated presence here. As a Gloucester resident, I know just how vibrant the city and wider county’s business scene is, with many impressive companies operating across a range of diverse sectors. The local area is also particularly well supported by the accountancy and legal professions.

“We anticipate helping companies across the region get to grips with the unprecedented financial and operational challenges they face right now. Current economic indicators and government policy announcements point to a particularly challenging run in to Christmas for the region’s many hospitality businesses, many of whom rely on seasonal trade to drive profits.

“The most important thing to remember for any business experiencing operational challenges is to seek professional advice at the earliest opportunity. Liquidation is far from an inevitability for companies who find themselves in difficulties and we have a proven track record of working with firms to help them restructure their operations and safeguard jobs, be it through a formal insolvency process or otherwise.”
