Are you struggling with slower broadband speeds and want to know how to upgrade? Perhaps you are looking to upgrade an existing broadband connection for your community?
Superfast Worcestershire is holding a drop-in event next week to help people out of the slow lane and into the ‘Ultrafast internet highway’.
The Community Broadband Engagement Event is being held next Thursday, 26th September for people and communities to find out more about the broadband options available for them and their area.
It’s taking place between 4-6pm in the Council Chamber, County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester, WR5 2NP
Members of the Superfast Worcestershire team will be on hand to answer questions and offer information on:
- our programme progress
- our future deployment plans
- National funding available for building or improving broadband in your community
- the suppliers delivering broadband infrastructure in Worcestershire
Councillor Ken Pollock, Cabinet Member for Economy and Infrastructure, said: “While faster broadband connections have been successfully rolled out across most of the county, they can still be an issue in rural parts. We recognise that as one in three businesses are based in the countryside, it’s vital that we put our efforts into ensuring that superfast broadband reaches throughout rural Worcestershire. For anyone still experiencing slow broadband speeds, this event offers information on how to improve their own or their communities internet connections.”
There is no charge to come along but it would help us if people could register their interest https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/community-broadband-engagement-event-registration-65641634897
