Worcestershire County Council has launched a new programme to help businesses across the county continue to do just that in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Called the Adapt Programme, expert advisers will be offering support to the county’s businesses to enable them to recover and build resilience.
There are three main areas of support available; interactive webinars, business advice and business consultancy. Businesses, if eligible, can access support on all three areas or select the most appropriate for their current needs.
The Adapt Programme is the third part of the County Council’s Here2Help Business programme which was launched in July in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Councillor Ken Pollock, Worcestershire County Council’s Cabinet Member with Responsibility for the Economy and Infrastructure, said: “The launch of the Adapt Programme is great news for Worcestershire as we aim to support local businesses of all sizes to help restart, recover and strengthen the economy during a difficult period.
“The programme is designed to be flexible, as we understand that businesses across a range of sectors are facing new challenges amid the COVID-19 pandemic. We would encourage businesses across the county to consider the different options available to suit their needs.”
All Worcestershire businesses are eligible to sign up to the Adapt web events and one-to-one business advice with specialist consultants, with a limited number of places available.
In addition to this, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) who meet the eligibility criteria, can also benefit from bespoke, in-depth support to address any strategic long-term considerations for their business.
Following feedback from the local business community, this specialist advice will be available in the critical areas of business planning & finance, technology, and marketing & digital communications.
Businesses can sign up online now for the first webinar, which will take place on Monday 12th October 2020 and will be led by marketing professional Heike O’Leary, who was previously Brand Marketing Director at Adidas, and is currently Group Marketing Director at leading UK motor retail and aftersales service group Lookers Plc.
