Millbrook Marketing – Celebrating North Worcs Calendar Winner

February – Millbrook Marketing

Millbrook Marketing were delighted to be announced as one of the 12 winners for the 2019 ‘Celebrating North Worcestershire’ calendar.  As a new business, the publicity and PR they received as prize winner was a huge help in promoting their brand and services.

Samantha Preece, founder and director of Millbrook Marketing, told us: “The PR and networking opportunities from the competition have been fantastic. Millbrook Marketing is specifically aimed at supporting SMEs and I have met with some amazing businesses and have been thoroughly inspired by their success stories.  Although I have to admit being described as ‘Miss February’ has taken some getting used to!”

Although, Millbrook Marketing is a new venture, Samantha is not new to this sector.  A trained marketer, with a career spanning over 25 years, she has held prominent senior commercial positions within well-known organisations such as Halfords and Gtech.  Her roles have covered traditional marketing, business development, project management and ecommerce. She has managed successful celebrity licensing partnerships, sports sponsorship and negotiated a high profile TV sponsorship.  In addition, she has developed a number of award-winning product and social media campaigns.

The decision to move from the corporate world to work with smaller organisations was a bold one but it is something Samantha has been wanting to do for a while. “I am very much an ideas person and there is nothing more exciting than speaking to business owners about their plans for growth and working with them to create a marketing strategy that will help them achieve their goals.”

As well as marketing strategy and planning, Millbrook Marketing also offer social media management, campaign planning and general marketing support.  Each client receives a personalised service and plan tailored to their individual requirements.  “No two businesses are the same so we don’t have a one-size-fits-all approach,” says Samantha.

In addition, to running Millbrook Marketing, Samantha is a non-executive director of Worcester Theatre Makers and a trustee of the Arts Centre, where she advises on commercial and marketing matters.

Her passion for marketing is evident.  A trained Business teacher and lecturer, she is currently delivering a Digital Marketing apprenticeship for HoW College and is delighted to be working with the next generation of marketers.  “Technology is changing on a daily basis so it’s essential to stay up to date,” she says.  “In fact, I think I’m learning as much from my students as they are from me!”
