With so many women-only business clubs launching across the country, it’s only fair that a few nws men-only clubs should see the light of day.

Wyre Talent launched successfully on Thursday 17th October as an informal networking group for businessmen, where the founders have a vision to be a part of the local regeneration and become the voice for businesses and residents in the Wyre Forest area.

The founders made a key decision from the start to have a men-only group, explaining that the main reason behind that is to encourage an open forum for men to express their emotions and discuss their concerns in life and business in a surrounding where they feel comfortable: men open up better to men, the founders feel.

Guest speaker at the launch was Ostap Paparega from North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWedR) who gave an overview of the regeneration projects in progress, helping the group with raising awareness of what is happening locally and highlighting bopportunities.

Wyre Talent will meet on the third Thursday of every month at the (editor’s note: rather appropriately namedBrothers of Ale, Stourport. Each month there will be both a businessand personal focus, with guest speakers and networking opportunities in a relaxed setting.

The groups charities are Kemp Hospice, CALM and also the local foodbank.

The Club will be supporting Mo-vember then on to the Santa Fun run for kemp, shaving the tashes off at the station in farfield Kidderminster after the run.

Next year it is already planning an Easter masquerade ball. With other fundraising plans in the pipeline.

The group will split the proceeds between its charities, alongside having a monthly donation a for the foodbank.
