A landmark Swindon building is back on the market as an investment opportunity – for £1.7 million.
19 Regent Street is well-known and well-loved for its distinctive brickwork which bears the name of house furnisher William Wallace Hunter, which occupied the building from its construction in 1901 until the 1940s.
It was subsequently occupied by Woodhouse & Son and more recently Laura Ashley, before being sold in April 2021 by commercial property agent Kilpatrick & Co to Wass Homes for conversion into 12 flats with two retail units on the ground floor.
With those 12 apartments and retail units completed, the freehold investment is now on the market with Swindon estate agent Charles Harding for £1.7 million.
For sale as a whole unit the investment, says Charles Harding, should offer a return of £135,000 per annum.
