Golfers Swing for Charity

ISO Quality Services Ltd Golf Day

Local management consultants, ISO Quality Services Ltd, recently raised over £1,400 for Midlands Air Ambulance at its annual Charity Golf Day.

The fixture, a staple in the company’s calendar since 2015, attracted 44 serious golfers to Bransford Golf Club. Many local firms fielded teams including Lookers (Mercedes-Benz), Willcox Matthews, Haines Watts and Jelf.

Fun golfers were also welcomed. They received rapid golf lessons from the Club’s resident pro, Tim Shephard, and Ollie Walker, a young golfer supported by the firm, before taking part in short competitions, including crazy golf and longest drive.

Following the day’s activities, the golfers retired to the adjoining Bank House Hotel for a talk by Jo Bailey of Midlands Air Ambulance, followed by a raffle, silent auction and prize-giving. Prizes were generously donated by a number of local organisations including Worcester Warriors, Worcestershire County Cricket Club and The Cottage in the Wood.

Chairman, Peter Appleton, comments, “We are extremely grateful for the support we received from our golfers and donors. The Air Ambulance receives no Government funding so it relies on private donations. We’re sure that the surprise fly past by one of the air ambulances during the day helped contribute to the outstanding total raised, it was certainly a timely reminder as to why we were there.”

Any golfers interested in taking part next year should put June 23rd 2020 in their diary and email to pre-register.
