Like many charities, the Chippenham-based charity WDC requires funding from the public to continue their conservation and research efforts.
Gloucestershire based bedding and homeware brand P&B Home is kicking off Black Friday with a difference. Instead of just shouting about the latest deals and offers as other retailers will, the online brand wanted to draw attention to an important cause: Whale & Dolphin Conservation.
This Black Friday, P&B Home has pledged to donate £1.00 from every order to WDC (Whale and Dolphin conservation) to help end whaling and captivity. Its Black Friday Whale campaign will be live for 16 days ending on Sunday 6th of December 2020.
P&B Home began selling novelty and animal-inspired bedding last year. The products sold so well that the business extended its range to sell a wider selection of bedding and homewares, including throws, cushions and sheets.
Lewis Lawson, Director & CEO said: “This year we want to break away from the norm of Black Friday and a great way to do that is to support Whale & Dolphin Conservation. With the pandemic at the front of our minds at the moment, many charities can sadly be forgotten about which is why we wanted to draw attention to this important cause.”
Lewis added: “What is wonderful about the campaign is also the educational piece. Many people might not know about Whale Conservation and why these charities need our help. All of our communication to customers is Whale themed for the duration of the campaign including lots of facts and info about Whales – we’ve had a great response to this so far.”
