Quolux Simon Townsend

Gloucester based leadership development business QuoLux, has appointed Simon Townsend MBA as Head of Digital Transformation.

Dr Stewart Barnes, CEO of QuoLux, said: “This is a major step for the company. I am delighted that Simon is joining us. He has over 30 years’ experience working in international companies focusing on the development of people, teams and businesses through heading IT, project management and marketing services.

“Software as a Service (SaaS) has been around for many years and Simon is steeped in that world. We have been pioneering ‘Learning as a Service’, so to have someone of his calibre lead our digital e-learning service is very exciting. His knowledge and experience will be of immense benefit to our client-base.”

Simon said: “More businesses are looking to technology to develop their leaders, managers and employees. QuoLux has already seen exponential growth in its range of online courses and programs. Its e-commerce facility on the QuoLux Online Leadership & Management Centre strongly reflects the company’s international positioning and on-going aim to support business people across the world. I am looking forward to bringing to the market the many innovations QuoLux have in the pipeline.”

Stewart added: “People are becoming more used to a self-service approach allowing them to access and interact at a time that’s convenient to them. We are witnessing at first-hand the digital transformation in how people wish to learn.

“The coronavirus pandemic forced organisations across the globe to adapt quickly, with huge swathes of the workforce moving to remote working and a rapid fast-tracking of digital transformation projects. Leaders recognised that they also needed to adjust their approach in order to support their teams.

“We have built into all our online courses the ingredients of successful learning for adults and the steps to apply that learning back into their organisations to make immediate improvements. We believe that is a game changer for online learning. Each learner has their own dashboards to monitor their progress, and all are recognised with Certificates of Completion which can be immediately posted to their LinkedIn credentials and to other social media.

“We have further expanded our digital services. For example, we are particularly proud of our partnership with Good Dividends as we support businesses to consider how they can play their part in dealing with the Grand Challenges and problems that society faces. We have created a business model that integrates people, purpose, planet and profit.

“Before the pandemic struck, online leadership learning was already seen as a huge growth area with the leadership training market expected to grow. We aim to play our part in developing leaders and managers to be the best they can be and to #InspireBelief.”
