Glos nutrition brand behind almost all major county sports teams

NutritionX

Gloucester-based sports nutrition company Nutrition X is celebrating the milestone of officially ‘fuelling’ almost all top level sport in the county.

The Quedgeley-based businesse is now working with Gloucester Rugby, Cheltenham Town FC, Forest Green Rovers and Gloucestershire CCC as official nutrition partners.

Managing Director James Markey launched the company from his home in Sandhurst, Gloucestershire five years ago.

Nutrition X works with each of these clubs as an official sports nutrition supplier, alongside the strength and conditioning teams to provide its range of sports supplements to help players improve their sporting performances. Nutrition X also runs a nutrition consultancy arm to the business to educate the players on how to take a holistic approach to fuelling their game.

“It may sound cliché to say, but it really is a dream come true to work with almost all of the top-level clubs in my home county this year,” said James. “It’s been a steady journey getting here since the days of packing orders from my garage back in 2014, but our dedication to clean sport and use of the very best quality ingredients has meant that we’ve been able to carve a real niche in what is a quite crowded market. Top-level clubs across all major sports in the UK, not just here in Gloucestershire, have really taken note of that; and it’s thanks to this dedication to quality that we’re able to celebrate where we are today.

“It’s a particular honour given how well each of our top local elite clubs are performing in their respective leagues at the moment. We’re immensely proud to be a part of that – long may it continue!”

Nutrition X has also launched a number of new products this year, including a collagen-based muscle Repair Shot – the first of its kind on the market – and launching its first ever vitamin with the introduction of a daily Omega 3 tablet this month.

As well as working with so many local Gloucestershire-based clubs, Nutrition X counts Bristol Bears, Barnsley FC, Toulouse Rugby League, Hong Kong FA, Northampton Saints and the GB Speedway Team as official partners.
