Gleeds takes new office lease at Aurora, Finzels Reach in Bristol

Aurora Bristol

Royal London, advised by Savills, has completed the letting of 7,026 sq ft on the second floor of Aurora, Finzels Reach, Bristol with international property and construction consultancy Gleeds taking a 10 year commitment. The letting leaves just 8,000 sq ft remaining at the high quality and modern development.

The BREEAM Outstanding rated building is just one of six in the UK and the only building outside London to receive this accolade, enjoying state-of-the-art sustainability features.  With a strong emphasis on wellness, tenants can enjoy a well thought through design which maximises natural light and fresh air circulation, offering inspiring shared space.

Rhys Davies, Gleeds Director heading up the new Bristol office, said: “This move represents our first step in a shift in approach as we think about changing the ways in which we all work. We want our staff to have access to working spaces that are Covid compliant in the short-term and encourage collaboration and flexible working practices long-term. It’s also important to us that we occupy spaces which reflect our global commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and put us at ‘the heart of the action’ in terms of proximity to our natural client base.”

Will Hawking, Senior Asset Manager at Royal London, added: “We are pleased to have secured Gleeds at our Aurora scheme, which was designed to focus heavily on wellness and sustainability. The building is now almost fully let which is a testament to the building quality and will add to the vibrancy of Bristol’s business district as the market returns to normality following the lockdown.”

Christopher Meredith, director in the office agency team at Savills Bristol, said: “Despite the pandemic this letting illustrates that high quality buildings focussing on wellness continue to attract significant attention. Aurora is a landmark building that sits close to train transport links and all of the City Centre amenities. The combination of location, quality and sustainable focused accommodation attracted Gleeds back into the centre of Bristol.”
