Generous chefs Relish the task of cooking for the vulnerable

More than £2,000 has been raised by a South West catering company in a bid to provide 6,000 meals for the vulnerable, and they’re not stopping yet.

Following the recent success of the NHS Food 4 Heroes initiative Relish Events have teamed up with Open Kitchen to support an equally needed food programme.

Sally Pusey InnRelish, which also run various venues across the South West, including Arkell’s Brewery’s Sally Pussey’s in Royal Wootton Bassett, have pledged to raise more than £11,000 to provide 6,000 meals over the next couple of months to those who can’t access a delicious home-cooked dinner during these currently difficult and challenging times. Their head kitchen opened the production line only two weeks ago and although they have pledged 6,000 meals in total, they have promised to keep cooking as long as the donations keep coming.

Director Rob Goves said: “Just £1.85 feeds someone in a vulnerable position so every donation no matter how big or small, makes a difference. That’s quite a big impact we can make between us. We are calling upon everyone in our community to dig deep and support this amazing initiative.”

Donating is simple – they have a Just Giving page and updates on how they are getting on can be found on their Facebook and Instagram posts.
