Hotel development specialists Castlebridge Group has raised more than £20,000 for children’s charities with its inaugural fundraising ball.
The Leamington-based business hosted 200 guests at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club in Leek Wootton on January 31st, raising funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children’s Heaven.
Castlebridge Group, which has more than 20 years’ experience in developing, owning and operating hotels across the UK and Europe, has supported Children’s Heaven, an Ethiopia-based organisation providing support for orphaned children, for more than a decade, and adopted GOSH as its other nominated charity last year.
Jenna Dienn, Commercial Director for Castlebridge Group, said: “This is the first fundraising ball we’ve hosted, and it was a huge success, resulting in us surpassing our £10,000 target to make a real impact on our chosen charities.
“GOSH needs no introduction –the phenomenal work the hospital does to battle and overcome complex illnesses and make medical breakthroughs to support the hundreds of seriously ill children that are admitted every day is unrelenting, while Children’s Heaven provides medication, education, clothing and support to young girls in Ethiopia who have lost one Heaven or both parents to HIV and AIDS.
“Having seen first-hand the work these incredibly important causes do, we were determined to raise much-needed funds for both organisations to help them continue to save lives and create futures for the children they support. Having raised a grand total of £24,000 at the event, to divide between the two, we are absolutely delighted with the generosity shown by everyone who attended and would like to extend our sincere thanks,” she said.
Castlebridge Group operates internationally branded hotels including the IHG and Hilton hotel brands. The group currently owns six hotels across the UK and Spain, with the portfolio growing.
