Two local charities have been named as the beneficiaries of this year’s annual dog walk organised by local law firm Lodders.
The walk takes place in Henley in Arden on Sunday 19 May and all monies raised at the event will be donated to the Lifespace Trust and Shakespeare Hospice, the charities chosen as this year’s beneficiaries of the Lodders Charitable Foundation.
“Our annual charity dog walk is always a fun day out for all of the family,” says David Lodder, Chairman of the Charitable Foundation,” and is one of our flagship and biggest fundraisers each year.
“The walk starts at 10am with a four-mile and a two-mile route to choose from, and every dog will receive a complimentary ‘dog goody bag’ as a reward for taking part.
“Tickets are £5 for adults and £1 for each dog, and children are free of charge. It’s easy to pre-register via the website, or simply turn up on the day,” adds David
“There will be a selection of children’s entertainment and stalls, as well as food and drinks available to purchase – or visitors can bring their own picnics if they prefer.”
Lodders launched its Charitable Foundation in 2016 with the aim of supporting regional charities where a real difference can be made, reflecting the firm’s longstanding commitment to its local communities.
This year, the Foundation selected the Lifespace Trust, which helps to mentor young people who are struggling with all kinds of mental health issues, and the Shakespeare Hospice, which is the largest independent day hospice in the West Midlands and provides a valuable range of services to patients, their families and carers.
“We are delighted to be able to support two incredible charities which carry out invaluable work and give vital support to so many people in our local community,” says David.
The dog walk takes place at David Lodder’s farm on Whitley, Edge Lane, Henley in Arden, B95 5DT. Follow the signs from Henley in Arden town centre.
