FinditinWorcestershire’s June breakfast meeting is calling for the county’s technology innovators to come along and find out how their tech could be used in the care industry.
The Findit event on 18 June is being held at the Duckworth Suite, Sixways Stadium. It is the first event of ‘Great Things’ an all day series of events organised by Worcestershire Innovation (WINN) to celebrate innovation in the county.
The use of Assistive Technology within social care is fast becoming a growing area and one of interest to the care market.
Within the care industry Assistive Technology is being used to great effect to care for people with dementia and disabilities. It covers the range of electronic equipment and services that can help people with physical, sensory or mental health difficulties continue to live safely and independently at home.
We’re inviting ‘tech-prenuers’ to meet buyers from the care industry to find out how their innovations can be put to use.
Councillor Ken Pollock, cabinet member with responsibility for Economy and Infrastructure said, “As well as finding exciting new applications for technology, this is a fantastic opportunity to help transform how social care could be delivered in the future.
“Whether you are a current provider of Assistive Technology or looking for new ways to expand what your business offers, the FinditinWorcestershire event will provide a valuable opportunity to meet buyers looking to invest in Assistive Technology.”
The ‘Great Things’ extravaganza at Sixways Stadium brings together the brightest, best and most inspiring innovators and businesses from across Worcestershire for a packed day of creativity, collaboration and innovation.
FinditinWorcestershire Assistive Technology Special breakfast event costs £15+VAT per person, doors open at 6.45am, with presentations from 7.20am
The WINN event ‘Great Things’ celebration of innovation across Worcestershire’ has no charge and runs straight after from 9:30am to 5pm. It concludes with a WINN Wednesday networking event (even though it’s Tuesday!) from 5pm to 8.30pm
