Find out about investment funding at Villa Park

Villa Park

Birmingham-based venture capital firm Midven will be presenting at the Financing Growth event at Villa Park on June 20th.

The event, organised by audit, tax and consulting advisors RSM, brings speakers from across the financial sector to discuss funding choices and alternative finance sources, all with the aim of supporting businesses’ next level of growth.

Aimed at growing businesses and entrepreneurs who are looking into the options of accessible funding, the panel of speakers will each deliver a five-minute presentation. Midven Director Roger Wood will be discussing new  finance options available through the new £35 million equity finance portion of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) and the launch of the Enterprise Investment Scheme.

Businesses will be able to hear in more detail about Midven’s ‘more than money’ approach of delivering strategic advice and guidance. This approach has been of key importance in the firm’s track record of high-value exits, with the last five years seeing 13 exits achieving an average six times return on investment. For more than 25 years, Midven has supported entrepreneurship within the West Midlands and gone on to establish more than 30 millionaires.

One-to-one discussions will also be available after the presentation. Last year’s guests walked away with potential finance offers, information on exporting and an increased confidence in their ability to access finance.

In addition to Midven, other funders in attendance include Beechbrook Capital, Bibby Financial Services, Birmingham City Council, BGF, Maven, ThinCats and Yorkshire Bank.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 20th, at Aston Villa’s Villa Park. It will be opened by Chief Executive of the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, Paul Faulkner.
