This year the race celebrates its sixth anniversary in its new format. It was rescued by Davies and Partners Solicitors supported by Gloucester Quays Rotary when the commercial organiser pulled out. The aim is to show off Gloucester at its best, provide a healthy activity for those from Gloucester and further afield and to return monies made to local charities.
Kimberley Clay, PR Coordinator at E G Carter & Co Ltd said “We are delighted to be the main sponsors of the Gloucester 10k for a third year running, the race has always been a huge success the organisation of the race is spot on, all the marshals that you see while running cheer you on. This race is a great advert for what Gloucester can do and we are excited to do the same again this year.”
Nigel Tillott, Director at Davies and Partners Solicitors said “It is wonderful that E G Carter & Co Ltd have agreed to be headline sponsors again this year. The company got really involved in the race last year and it was a pleasure to work alongside it.”
E G Carter & Co Ltd will be standing tall and entering a team to run the 10k route. The course is designed with sightseeing in mind but is predominantly flat as you will run past Gloucester Cathedral, Gloucester Docks and the Quays.
All proceeds will go towards local charities.
