A company based in Moreton-in-Marsh has developed a new paint product which, it claims, kills the Sars-Cov-2 COVID-19 virus within 30 minutes.
As workplaces, social spaces, and visitor attractions all over the country are slowly opening back up (and here’s hoping they continue to do so despite the latest omicron variant), Retrace Group says that its paint additive will give customers, staff and guests confidence in public areas treated with the additive.
Retrace AV’s mode of action is not variant specific and the product can be added into any water-based paint to give surfaces 99.99 per cent protection against SARS-Cov-2, the COVID-19 virus.
Painted surfaces using Retrace-AV can be easily analysed to see how they are performing against SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens.
Developed by an international team led by Retrace Group, Retrace AV has been tested by independent laboratories including the UK’s NHS and UL, a global safety certification company, has verified its effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2.
It has also been tested and accredited to ISO standards – ISO 21702, ISO 22196 and ISO 11607, says Retrace Group.
The scientists reiterate that vaccines cannot be the only line of defence and we need to take advantage of every single tool we have at our disposal.
Until we’re in the clear, businesses are incorporating Retrace AV into their safety strategy for peace of mind and boosted consumer trust.
