Cheltenham Chamber hosted a delicious lunch at the glorious Ellenborough Park Hotel to celebrate International Women’s Day 2022 and talk about #breakthebias.

Sponsored by ActionCOACH Cheltenham and NatWest, the event supported the great work The Nelson Trust do everyday to help women in need.

A panel of inspirational women discussed the theme for 2022 – #breakthebias.

The panel chaired by Executive Board Member and CSR Consultant, Claire Thayers, included Ellen Roome, Managing Director at The Finance Roome, Mel Dunkerton of Dunkertons Cider, Lucy Beresford, Joint MD at SLG Brands, Kelly Tucker of HR Star, Tatyana Heard from the England Red Roses Rugby Team, and Dame Julie Lydon, newly appointed Trustee to The Nelson Trust

The event successfully raised £380 pounds for the Nelson Trust.

Andy Jarrett, Fundraising Lead at The Nelson Trust said “We are delighted that the raffle at this super celebration of the role of women in our county raised £380. Thank you to everyone who donated such amazing prizes. This was also a fabulous opportunity for the audience to learn more about the support that we are offering to people in recovery and women with multiple and complex needs during these challenging times”.
