The Salmon Harvester Opportunity Fund (SHOF) has received the Revo Re:fresh Gold Award for Cathedral Square in Worcester.
The £20 million scheme at the heart of the city centre won the accolade for its complete transformation by Revo, the retail property and place making industry body.
The Gold Award celebrates the best examples of development, investment and asset management. Revo claimed the scheme was an interesting blue print for other locations that are challenged by the quality of their historic retail space, as improvement to the public realm and surrounding environment has significantly enlivened this end of Worcester’s High Street.
Since completion in May last year, Cathedral Square has welcomed big name brands such as H&M, Cosy Club, All Bar One, Miller and Carter, Fitness4Less, Yo Sushi!, Kung Fu, Starbucks and Wilko.
Gary Woodman, Chief Executive of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “This is great recognition for a project that has modernised retail in Worcester and helped to boost the local economy.”
