Following on from a strong showing in the Legal 500 rankings, Cheltenham-based BPE Solicitors’ position as one of the region’s top law firms has been underlined with the release of the highly respected Chambers and Partners UK 2019 listings.

In the Legal 500 the firm was listed in nine categories, BPE’s Litigation and Employment teams were both ranked in the top Tier 1 while Partners Philip Radford and Rebecca Maxwell were identified as a Leading Individual and a Next Generation Lawyer respectively.

Rankings in seven further categories included Corporate, Commercial and Private Client areas. As a well respected and established practice in the region, the results help to cement BPE’s position as an exceptional provider of legal services.

The Top 200 firm was featured in Chamber’s Band 1 for Corporate/M&A with Senior Partner John Workman identified as an Eminent Practitioner, praised for his ‘helpful and sensible approach when handling transactions’. Head of Corporate, Anthony Rudge was described as ‘absolutely 100% approachable and always working there with you, for you, even when things get stressful’.

A further three of BPE’s teams featured in the top three bands; Real Estate, Employment and Family/Matrimonial, with Deputy Senior Partner Antonia Shield and Partners Lisa Gettins and Helen Cankett all singled out as Notable Practitioners.

“The whole practice is delighted to have achieved such strong results in both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK listings,” commented Senior Partner, John Workman. “Everyone at BPE works exceptionally hard to make us a successful, reliable and approachable law firm. Knowing the law is necessary but not sufficient, being there and getting the client what they need when they need it – and not getting in the way – is what makes the difference.”
