The recently-acquired site is located at the new Midlands Logistics Park in Corby, Northamptonshire and is the first warehouse to be constructed on the park. At almost 850,000 square feet, it is already set to be one of the largest warehouse acquisitions of 2019.
BPE Solicitors’ Commercial Property team acted for the company from day one of the transaction; providing strategic advice on the real estate, construction and planning. Following on from an earlier pre-letting agreement, Eddie Stobart has taken a lease on the new premises for 20 years.
Alex Curtis, Senior Associate in BPE’s Commercial Property team, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Eddie Stobart on this flagship acquisition. We have worked alongside them in numerous real estate transactions over the past few years and we are proud to be able to offer them the full spectrum of real estate legal advice on this and their other deals.”
Rupert Nichols, Executive Board Director at Eddie Stobart Limited, added: “As ever, the team at BPE brought professionalism and a clear understanding of our commercial objectives to guide us through this significant and very complex transaction.”
