Detailed plans to build 465 new homes in Gloucester have now been submitted to the local authority.
Housebuilder Bellway Wales has drawn up a reserved matters planning application for its proposed Pirton Fields development, off Cheltenham Road East, Churchdown.
The plans feature a range of two, three and four-bedroom houses, as well as off-road parking, rerouted cycle routes, a new bus stop on Cheltenham Road East and public open space. 102 of the properties will be affordable housing for local people and key workers.
If planning permission is granted, Bellway will be making significant financial contributions to the community, including more than £4 million towards local education and over £765,000 for local road improvements.
Daniel Shone, Sales Manager for Bellway Wales, said: “We are really pleased to have submitted detailed plans for the homes at Pirton Fields which will help to meet the growing demand for housing in Gloucester.
“We have worked particularly hard with the local authority to create a development which we believe will be a fantastic asset to the community.
“Our plans include homes for buyers at all stages of the property ladder, from first-time buyers and downsizers to growing families, and we hope that our application is approved so we can begin construction on site.”
Bellway Wales is building homes across South Wales and Gloucestershire.
