Ambassadors’ support is music to the ears of festival organisers

Music festival Worc Ambassadors

ORGANISERS of this year’s Worcester Music Festival are celebrating after securing sponsorship from local organisation, Worcestershire Ambassadors.

The free festival, which takes place from September 13 to 15 in the city centre, will raise money for Worcester Foodbank.

The Ambassadors, whose members share a passion to promote the county and support good causes through fundraising, sponsorship and events, have chosen to support the free activities on offer during the festival for people of all ages. Kevin Powell, chairman of Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: “We’re delighted to support Worcester Music Festival to showcase the city’s emerging musical talent and to support a valuable local charity.

“As local people who are part of the Worcestershire community, we believe in promoting the county as a great place to live, work and spend leisure time so anything that offers opportunities to local talent and encourages people to visit our county is good news. We hope to be enthusiastic and active sponsors of the festival.”

Helen Mole, festival organiser, added: “Our team are working hard to put together the biggest and best music festival for the city. We are incredibly grateful for support like this which allows us to deliver a festival which will welcome thousands of people to the city and support the 25 venues which are taking part.”

As part of the festival, organisers have arranged for a programme of free arts activities by Spare Room Arts to take place in the Hopmarket on Foregate Street on Saturday 14 and Sunday September 15.
