Advanced Insulation, which has its headquarters in Gloucester and employs over 400 people globally and 200 in the UK,won the national Health and Safety Award sponsored by AIG. The award goes to the manufacturer that has achieved the most impressive or innovative improvements in the health and safety culture of their workplace.

Daniel Howell, Group QHSE Manager at Advanced Insulation said: “The health and safety culture change initiative that we introduced, has been bought into by all within our global organisation, from the senior management team to the shop floor. Since we launched the initiative, sustainable improvements have been introduced, key risks are significantly lower, and injury rates have fallen by 76% across the group. The huge achievement in winning the EEF National Award for Health and Safety recognises the scale of the improvements that have been made and helps demonstrate that we are well on the way to achieving our objective of a world class health and safety culture”.
