AccXel partners with National Federation of Builders

Cinderford’s AccXel, the UK’s first construction skills accelerator centre, has joined a partnership with the National Federation of Builders (NFB).

AccXel will become an official training partner of the industry body, who joins the firm’s more than 33 pre-existing employer partners. The two will work together to promote the construction industry, encouraging more people to enter the sector.

Danny Clarke, NFB’s Commercial Director, said “I am incredibly excited about our partnership with AccXel, I believe both organisations are passionate about the same topics and together we will be able to create the change that the industry needs to keep bringing people into the industry and retain the current workforce.

“I very much look forward to seeing how we work together to implement the necessary change.”

The centre, which was created using funding from the government (through Gloucestershire’s Local Enterprise Partnership, GFirst LEP,) and K W Bell Group, aims to train and connect people within the UK construction industry.

They have already agreed partnerships with a number of high-profile firms, including JCB Holt and Leica Geosystems, as well as the University of Gloucestershire.
